Arthritis Research UK – Ease the Pain with a Great British Garden Party
This summer, Arthritis Research UK has joined forces with Bosch Lawn & Garden to encourage the great British public to freshen up their flowers and pastures, and help raise money and awareness for the one in six people living with arthritis in the UK, by throwing a Great British Garden Party.
Whether it be a brunch in the sun, marking the first BBQ of the season, or your very own high tea with family and friends, everyone can get involved with Arthritis Research UK’s exciting fundraising initiative that you can do anytime over the summer months. Base yours around a footy tournament, make it a fancy dress theme, or just have tea, cake and games on the lawn, you can make your soiree as simple or as bombastic as you like.
It’s the perfect excuse to prune your roses, dust off the outdoor furniture, or manicure the new lawn. Don’t worry if you don’t have a garden, or the weather doesn’t hold up either, simply pop avase on your kitchen table, bake some cupcakes and invite people over to bring a donation!
As a charity, Arthritis Research UK is committed to helping those living with arthritis to remain active, doing the things they love; like gardening. By staging a fundraising party in your beautiful garden you will help the 10 million people, including 15,000 children, affected by arthritis.
Where do I sign up?
To host your very own Great British Garden Party, please visit arthritisresearchuk.org or call 0300 790 0444. Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive a fundraising pack full of ideas and tips on how to raise vital funds at your event, from games and competitions to silent auctions.
Arthritis affects more than ten million people in the UK, including 15,000 children. The pioneering research undertaken by the charity would not be possible without the help of its generous supporters.
