Surrounded by trees and wildlife, Harbour Yoga is a boutique yoga studio in the market town of Farnham, Surrey. The Harbour studio has a ‘grassroots’ feel and prides itself on creating a sense of community and connection for students and teachers. The dictionary defines Harbour as ‘a place of refuge or safety’ and that’s what we aim for, somewhere students can step out of the busy day-to-day, refocus and rejuvenate. Our strapline is ‘Every Body Matters’, and we firmly believe yoga is for everyone, whatever their size, shape, level of experience and reason for stepping on the mat.
Harbour Yoga was founded by Vicky Leitch, starting as a series of classes at different venues across Farnham before finding a permanent home in April 2015. A great deal of care and attention was taken with the studio’s décor, from the ceiling mounted Far Infra Red heating panels, to the wall colour, which was chosen for its slight purple hue (echoing the colour of the crown chakra) and the beautiful walnut flooring. The studio has a roster of fantastic teachers all with their own unique style but connected by the belief in Harbour’s mission and ethos.
Harbour offers a variety of classes throughout the week, ranging from the intense Power and Warm Flow, to gentler Yin and Restorative classes and a very popular weekly children’s class. As the studio is small, classes are very tailored and teachers are able to change the focus of the session depending on the needs of edmeds24.com.
The studio has recently started offering workshops including yoga for sportspeople, Ashtanga yoga, Gong Baths and Mantra sessions. We are also very excited to be offering a five-day Forrest Yoga CPE intensive, delivered by Jambo Truong, Forrest Yoga Guardian in May.
From small beginnings Harbour has grown into a thriving studio built on the simple belief that ‘Every Body Matters’.
