Yoga Magazine’s January issue 2015
I hope you had a wonderful festive season with your loved ones.
Firstly, I’d like to thank those who attended our first ever British Yoga Festival it was good to meet so many of our readers. I’d also like to thank all our teachers and performers for making it a truly special event. We hope to be organising our second festival later this year so we’ll keep you up dated.
We’ve got another bumper packed issue for your enjoyment this month. Firstly, there’s a ‘Top To Toe’ yoga workout for the whole body to help release tension and reduce stiffness, and to help you lose those unwanted pounds after the excesses of Christmas, we feature the best poses to shape and tone those problem areas.
We also feature a yoga Masterclass to help you get to grips with inversions including Halasana, Sirsasana and Adho Mukha Vrksasana variation, and we provide a detox for the body and mind by combining food, movement and self-care.
This month’s guest teacher, Claire Berghorst, guides us through Virasana (Hero’s pose), Anjaneyasana (Crescent Lunge), Dwi Pada Viparita Dandasana (Two-legged inverted Staff pose) before a wonderful sequence to ‘Connect you to your Core’.
I wish you all a peaceful and prosperous year -filled with yoga of course and may all your dreams come true!
I hope you enjoy reading the magazine and I look forward to meeting up with you in February.
