I teach yoga because I believe it has the power to free us. It is a practice that takes us deep, it’s inspiring, fun, and often more than a little testing! But it has the capacity to teach us, guide us and show us who we really are, all judgement stripped away. It lays us bare in the most beautiful way, you and your ego face to face.
Ultimately it’s not about one lonely persons struggle for vanity, it’s about Shakti, the universal power that guides us. I have been practising yoga for-16 years and it has been one of the most consistent things in my life, but it is always changing, evolving and growing. I have been lead all over the world by my love of yoga, exploring asana, meditation, dance and Tantra. I am always learning and although I am a teacher, I am first and foremost a student with a thirst for a deeper understanding of the Self. I am passionate about nature, diving deep in to what mother earth has to offer and being guided by her ever-changing elements.
I have been inspired by many beautiful teachers, some of whom I have the privilege to practise with, others whose work I read and study, each one sharing their journey, their wisdom and their love. Shiva Rea has been my greatest influence, not only because meeting her lead me to being a teacher, but also because I found my home in the pulsations, freedom and evolutionary sequences of the Prana Vinyasa Yoga. Mind, body and soul, what Shiva was offering felt so right.
Inspired by Shiva, I teach Prana Vinyasa Flow, embracing our vital, living energy. Using our breath as our guide, we explore classical and creative forms of yoga and movement to lead us to a place of self-wisdom, strength and abundance.
