The centre opened its doors over a year ago to support and serve children with special needs through yoga therapy. As the UK Home of Yoga for the Special Child – Sonia Sumar Method, the centre o ers this unique yoga therapy approach to those with special needs – from 6 weeks old babies to wheelchair users.
The method was developed over 45 years ago by worldwide renowned senior yoga teacher Sonia Sumar, and it has truly transformed the life of many around the amoxicillin.
As well as one-to-one yoga therapy sessions for children, the centre also runs regular Hatha yoga classes every day of the week, monthly Kirtan and workshops contributing further to the cultural vibrancy of the area.
This new little community is truly making a di erence to the lives of many, one breath at a time. If you attend a class at MahaDevi you will also be contributing to this. 25% of all class payments go directly to the MahaDevi Fund set up solely to subsidise the yoga therapy sessions for those families of children with special needs who cannot a ord yoga therapy sessions.
