Mandy Jhamat

Mandy-Lotus-pose“Yoga may start in your muscles and bones for most of us, but when it reaches your heart it will begin to flow through the veins of your entire being until you are living and breathing it. There will be no separation between you and your yoga”
Mandy’s early experiences of the yoga were practising alone with the aid of books and instructional videos.  And that is still the way she connects and reaps the most rewards from practising.

Her regular visits to Osho Meditation Retreat in Pune have fuelled her love of meditation and breath inspired movement. She came to yoga without any experience in dance or gymnastics (in fact avoided gym classes at school) but discovered newfound grace in the dance of the movement on her yoga mat that lingered in her daily life.

Her yoga, spiritual and philosophical inspirations are Bhagwan Shree Rajnesh, Krishnamurti, BKS Iyengar, Kahlil Gibran, Masaru Emoto, Carlos Pomeda and Shiva Rae.

Mandy Jhamat’s yoga teaching reflects her interest in traditional Hatha yoga, Vinyasa flow and yin/yang practices.  Her experiential style allows her students to benefit from a dynamic practice rooted in the richness of mindful movement. Prepare to work hard – skilfully

Co-founder of Yogasphere – the brand behind the iconic Yoga-in-the-clouds classes at the very peak of our urban mountaintop in London – The View from the Shard.  She runs the yoga wellbeing company with her partner on and off the mat – Leo Lourdes, they kick-started the rooftop yoga craze in summer 2014 at over 1000ft!  Yogasphere is committed to helping the planet with their partnership with Trees for the Future by planting 10 trees every time you come to your mat and practise yoga.  “We wanted to both, inspire and empower people to make a positive change together – a collective San Kalpa.”
