Mercedes is recognised as one of the UK’s leading Vinyasa Flow Yoga instructors and one half of the brains behind the award-winning Yeotown Health Retreat and Yeotown Kitchen. Born in Canada, and made in California, Mercedes strives not for perfection but for authenticity and joy in all she does. A quali ed Positive Psychology Coach she is also mother to two baby girls. Mercedes has always been into tness and healthy eating, but it was her struggle with anxiety while at university that led her to the world of mindfulness, yoga and plant-based eating, and which opened the door to the truly holistic wellbeing lifestyle she now practises at Yeotown and teaches in her classes.
Mercedes presents Vinyasa Flow Yoga at its nest where you can expect big, bold, intelligent sequencing alongside creative progressions aimed at inspiring the student to explore some of the more challenging, contemporary asanas. She teaches popular weekly classes at London’s famed Triyoga and o ers an annual 200/300-hour Yoga Teacher Training programme. In addition to Yoga + Mindfulness Supper Clubs in London, Mercedes teaches yoga sessions during the weekly retreats at Yeotown throughout the year. She has also fast become known for her stylish yoga and surf retreats around the globe in exotic locals such as Bali and Sri Lanka.
An E-RYT500, Mercedes holds a Diploma in Coaching from the University of Cambridge and a certi cation in Applied Positive Psychology. She has been featured on ITV1, notably The Alan Titchmarsh Show, on BBC Radio and in countless publications such as Tatler, the Sunday Times, Conde Nast Traveller, Harpers Bazaar, Daily Mail and Vogue. In addition to writing for her Hu ngton PostUK blog, Mercedes has contributed articles to wellbeing sites Mind Body Green and Elephant Journal.
