Yoga Magazine’s September issue 2014
This September, Beth Shaw from YogaFit looks at how nutrition and a healthy diet can help improve your yoga practice, and from increased happiness and confidence, we give a run down of the top 10 ways in which yoga can transform your life.
We also profile Mind Muscle Yoga, a technique that works on five levels including the physical and psychological to help maximise our potential, and in our philosophy section we look at Tapas – one of yoga’s Niyamas, which make up the second of yoga’s eight limbs.
And to keep on top of your home practice, our guest teacher, Rachel Whitehead, guides us through Utthita Trikonasana (Extended Triangle), Parivrtta Trikonasana (Revolved Triangle), Parivrtta Ardha Chandrasana (Revolved Half Moon) and a sequence for ‘busy people on the go’ which can be practised under 30-minutes.
There’s also £1000 worth of Yoga Magazine subscriptions up for grabs; we put Matsyasana (Fish pose) under the anatomical spotlight and this month’s ‘My Story’ tells of a former hairdresser who went from ‘hair angel to yoga devil’.
I hope you enjoy reading the magazine and I look forward to meeting up with you next month.
