Check out our latest review of the Evolve Wellness Centre in South Kensington, London.
Now there are a couple of challenges of getting yourself to Evolve – it’s easy to find, but surrounded with temptations!
The first is the Hummingbird bakery whose delicious cupcakes add a hypnotic aroma to the local environment, and if you manage to stay true and walk on by, the next hurdle (maybe one for the boys) are the gleaming classic cars pedestalled at Hexagon Classics – all very mouth-watering 🙂
I thought this was pretty cool – you enter Evolve into a welcoming reception – a cute and adequate size – before being led into the lounge. Most studios incorporate their reception area into a go-between café/ shop/ lounge and reception, so it’s nice to have a social space where visitors can just hang out before and after class. What’s really cool is the team regularly add ethical pieces of art, sculpture and design to the lounge. On my visit there was chic wicker furniture on display by Spencer Jenkins. The studios are fresh, with beech wood flooring and crisp, white walls. Interestingly yoga mats are not rolled and stacked, rather individually hung – providing a great effect. An endearing touch to each studio is a silhouette motif of a tree. There’s even a dedicated screening room, with fantastic sketches drawn on the walls that gives a ‘cosy home’ feel. Evolve offer a full variety of yoga classes with a choice of great membership packages. New customers can try three classes for just £25, or an annual membership at £99 per month for unlimited classes, or drop-in classes for just £15. If you’re looking for more, there are lots to choose from including workshops, courses, treatments and a dedicated weight-loss programme.
