Sweat Studios launched the first Hot Yoga studio in The Hub, central Milton Keynes, in early 2014 and has since instructed over 5,000 people, many of who had never tried yoga before and now love it! The Sweat ethos is to demystify yoga, focusing simply on the postures and breathing to help members clear their minds, channel their energy and improve their physical tness. Instructions are given in clear, plain language and the overall emphasis is on yoga for exercise.
Founded by Kirsty Lowe, her mission is to create yoga workouts that t into the busy lives we lead. By placing accessibility at the heart of everything the studio does, from pay as you go pricing, to an easy to understand timetable and an app to book and manage your class schedule, Sweat is achieving it’s aim of getting the Milton Keynes population hooked on yoga. “Our clients range from professional athletes to the gym-phobic, to those wanting to slim down and tone up to people rehabilitating injuries. They come from all walks of life, but irrespective of whether they’re 16-60, fit as a fiddle or haven’t seen or touched their toes in years, our aim is to make them feel great. We know them by name and we focus on delivering them tangible results.” And, Sweat’s strategy is clearly working with client numbers growing year on year.
“Our classes take place in bright, airy, clean modern studios and we provide everything our clients need including mats, towels and state of the art changing rooms with individual shower cubicles, personal lockers and hairdryers.”
Sweat offers over 30 classes a week including hot, ow, restorative, pre- and post-natal yoga. It also recently added Pilates to its schedule. Classes run 7 days a week from 7am to 9pm.
