Triyoga celebrates its commitment to mindfulness

triyoga celebrates its commitment to mindfulness by introducing new
30-minute mindfulness classes + 30 Inner Axis Anti-Anxiety classes

triyoga highlight their commitment to promoting healthy minds by launching their two new classes: a 30-minute mindful meditation class and a 30-minute Inner axis class which reduces levels of anxiety. Having a healthy mind supports us to thrive in a range of ways, benefiting us and those around us. It allows us to cope better with everyday stress by improving our outlook and resilience.

In our fast-moving society, our minds are constantly switched on and it becomes normal for our minds to race with thoughts, ideas, images, sounds, hopes and fears. Recently, Prince William and celebrity Lady Gaga got together to discuss mental health issues and highlights how to identify signs of struggling mental health. Celebrities openly speaking about their struggles is making mental health less of a taboo subject which is a positive shift.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction was found to increase someone’s memory and decrease brain cell volume in the amygdala which is responsible for fear, anxiety and stress. These changes matched the participants’ self-reports of their stress levels, indication that meditation not only changed the brain, but changes the feelings as well.

Mindfulness and meditation have always been key to triyoga’s offering but over the last year there has been a significant increase since February where the weekly number of people taking meditation classes and really wanting to focus on their mind as well as their alignment has increased by nearly 50%.

The new 30-minute meditation classes allow people to easily fit a meditation practice into their day. You will be led by a guided meditation and learn techniques designed to promote relaxation and build internal energy. This practice will allow us to develop compassion, love, patience, generosity and forgiveness. Meditation is the process of turning your attention inward with one-pointed focus, bringing about a sense of peace and self-acceptance. The meditation and mindfulness teachers at triyoga will have a range of influences from Buddhist to non-secular, and they will each possess their own approach to teaching this class.

The new 30-minute Inner Axis classes have been introduced after the popularity of the one hour classes. They are known for their anti-anxiety busting benefits. They work to transform your body, mind and emotions through the clever combination of mindfulness techniques, breath based yoga and Qi Gong movement patterns. You will get to enjoy 5 essential breathing patterns with movement that target depression, anxiety and sleeplessness. Inner Axis allows people to become more equipped to successfully shift themselves to a place where we feel more grounded. You’ll benefit from a calmer nervous system, a lighter and more flexible body. This system has proved great for those suffering with depression, anxiety will melt away and you’ll feel more like yourself. Expect a happier, calmer and healthier you, right now, today.

So, if you are looking to find calm in the city, stop your mind whirling or simply find some space between your thoughts check into one of these transformational classes.
